Okay, I have to say I love that you recycled that wreath "from the gutter."

I love Christmas cards, too, but not as many people seem to be sending them anymore, do they? Or maybe they're just not sending them to ME?

That advent calendar is fun. My daughter would love that. She'd also flip over the pink, purple, and gold tree. Those are the colors she wanted me to use this year, but I didn't want to start all over with my decorations. I told her she could have her own little table-top tree next year.

I haven't put out a single holiday item this year, and I may not bother. It's not that I'm not it the mood, but since I'm the only person who will see them, it seems silly to get decorations out of the attic only to put them back a month later.

I just occurred to me how odd it would feel to me to celebrate Christmas in the middle of summer. Do people still sing "White Christmas" and "Let It Snow"?

almost forgot to comment about your post. Geez. OK - I love the cotton-ball adorned "stocking." Kids Christmas crafts are the best and over the years mean more and more. One year, our dog chewed up Juliette's pinecone turkey from kindergarten. It had googley eye, pipe cleaner legs and feathers. I cried for an hour and screamed at the dog.

Of course, I have a Christmas package for you, Le, and need your address. It is very small, so please, don't feel obligated by my gesture!!!

Le - I keep meaning to ask you 1) What do you think of Sassy Kathy? Have you followed her? I love how she utilizes her blog space. I've adopted some of her ideas. Also, what do you think of Chuck's idea as a whole? I've been pleased with the quality of blogs he's chosen. I keep thinking eventually he'll choose one I just hate.
